The Operations Liaison is an administrative and operational coordination position that serves as the primary liaison between the Department of Operations and school administrators, central office departments, division leadership, and, as appropriate, external partners. The position supports the effective and coordinated delivery of Operations services across the division, including Facilities, School Safety, Technology, and Transportation.
The position facilitates communication, coordination, issue resolution, operational follow-up, and information flow among Operations departments and stakeholders. The Operations Liaison monitors significant operational matters, tracks commitments and reported timelines, coordinates information among responsible departments and stakeholders, identifies matters requiring follow-up or escalation, and ensures that appropriate leaders are kept informed.
The position translates operational and technical information into clear, concise communications, reports, dashboards, presentations, and executive briefings. The position may coordinate matters involving school facilities, maintenance and capital projects, school safety and security, technology services, transportation operations, emergency response, and other Operations functions as assigned.
The Operations Liaison does not serve as a technical, trade, safety, technology, transportation, or project-management subject-matter expert and does not replace the responsibilities of department directors, supervisors, project managers, technical staff, or other subject-matter experts. Rather, the position works collaboratively with responsible staff to obtain accurate information, coordinate communication, monitor commitments and reported timelines, facilitate follow-up, identify emerging concerns, and elevate matters requiring leadership attention.
